Wayne Westcott, Ph.D., director of research programs at the South Shore YMCA in Quincy, Massachusetts says, “Cellulite is not a cosmetic issue. It’s an issue of having too much fat and too little muscle.” Westcott together with his colleague, Rita La Rosa Loud, created a program based on years of research that formed a basis for their book No More Cellulite (Perigee, 2003).
The program includes cardiovascular and dumbbell workouts. It has been proven to work based on the results of people who have actually gone through the program. Losing fat and building muscle is a sure way to prevent and reduce the appearance of cellulite in the body.
